LMFAO Nominated for American Music Awards

Party Rock/will.i.am/Cherrytree/Interscope recording artist LMFAO has received two American Music Awards nominations for
“Sprint New Artist of the Year” and
“Pop or Rock Music: Favorite Band, Duo or Group.” The 39th Annual American Music Awards will be broadcast live on ABC on November 20 from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles.
The GRAMMY® nominated electro hip-hop duo LMFAO are celebrating a successful 2011. Their sophomore album
“Sorry For Party Rocking” is currently sitting at #3 on the Itunes Chart in Australia and has produced the hit single
“Sexy & I Know It” which is #1 on the ARIA chart this week. According to Billboard, the new single from the album
“Party Rock Anthem” is the official #1 song of the summer.
By the end of this week LMFAO will have surpassed 10 million units in total single sales worldwide from their sophomore album with the three hit songs
“Sexy & I Know It,” (1 million units)
“Party Rock Anthem,” (8.3 million units) and
“Champagne Showers” (500,000 units). The group also recently took home the Australian Nickelodeon Kids Choice Award for Favorite Song and received two MTV European Music Award nominations. They will be performing at the MTV EMAs which will be held in Belfast, Northern Ireland on Sunday, November 6.
