Fifth Harmony Singer Arrested For DRUG Possession At Airport
A spokeswoman has confirmed that a member of Fifth Harmony was charged with possession of marijuana at Washington Dulles International Airport on Tuesday night.
TMZ first reported the story, revealing that Lauren Jauregui was found to have a bag of weed in her carry-on luggage during a stop at a TSA checkpoint.
While the 20-year-old was arrested in the terminal, her lawyer Dina LaPolt told PEOPLE that she was released soon after on a summons.
"Lauren Jauregui was not arrested and detained as reported, but simply given a citation for possession of marijuana and released on her own recognizance," Ms LaPolt said. "She will address the matter appropriately through the legal system.
"This will not interfere with any future scheduled performances or activities."
It is believed the band were on their way to Brazil for the Fun Pop Festival.
