House of Cards Resumes Production With Robin Wright As Lead
House of Cards fans who reckon that Robin Wright’s character is strong enough to take the lead… well, get this: that’s exactly what’s going to happen.
After Kevin Spacey, who played Frank Underwood, was fired from the Netflix drama after allegations of sexual misconduct surfaced, it’s been revealed that production will resume… with focus to centre on Wright’s character, Claire Underwood.
“We are excited to bring closure to fans,” CEO Ted Sarandos said during a conference on Monday.
He also confirmed that the 2,000 people who work on the show will also return.
Details of the storyline have not been released but the final season will be shorter, with just eight episodes.
