Man Who Forced Girlfriend To Walk Naked Around NYC Arrested
The man caught on video parading his naked girlfriend around New York City earlier this week has been arrested and charged.
Jason Melo, 24, has been charged after he allegedly choked and hit his girlfriend in front of their infant daughter, before forcing her to walk around the city naked while yelling abuse and filming and posting the video online.
Other reports also suggest he punched her in the face and crotch and threatened to kill her if she did not follow his instructions of undressing and walking around streets near their apartment in the Winter freeze.
In part of the exchange, caught on video, he is heard telling her to take off her towel and co-operate.
"Take off your towel and pay the price for the shame I feel after telling you how pretty you were and that I wanted to start a family with you, but it the meantime you were talking to seven other men," he said.
He seemingly did feel some remorse after the video went viral, posting a video attempting to explain his actions onto his social media accounts.
"I was wrong to do what I did, sending her out naked, I apologize. If I could turn back time I wouldn't do it," he said.
"Please forgive me, I want you all to know that I am not as bad as you think. I just want to tell you all that I feel bad, as a man. You don't know what was going through my mind.
"I came from a woman, I have a daughter, and I have two sisters. But look what you pushed me to do. I am sorry for everything.
"This the last video I will make, I don't want any interviews, I don't want anything."
