It’s official. Ghostbusters III is happening and this time round they have called women in to get the job done once and for all!
While the casting decisions are still highly speculative, there are plenty of very funny women that we would love to see reprise the roles.
Paul Feig (Bridesmaids and The Heat) tweeted the official news to his fans yesterday, announcing that he would be teaming up with Katie Dippold (The Heat, Parks and Recreation) to write the new installment.

The duo have already worked with hilarious duo Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy on The Heat – and we think a reunion of the two would make the price of entry worth it alone.
Bill Murray, who starred in the first two Ghostbusters sequels, is fully behind the idea and even had a few casting suggestions of his own.
“Melissa would be a spectacular Ghostbuster. And Kristen Wiig is so funny – God she’s funny!” he told press at TIFF this weekend.
“I like this girl Linda Cardellini a lot. And Emma Stone is funny. There are some funny girls out there.”
It has us wondering, could this bring about an all-star female comic cast – with existing links to Amy Poehler (Parks and Recreation),Tiny Fey (30 Rock) and Maya Rudolph, Rebel Wilson, Rose Byrne (Bridesmaids).
And this is all without even mentioning Anna Faris, Jane Lynch, Cameron Diaz, Kristen Bell, Elizabeth Banks, Emma Stone, Kaley Cuoco, Reese Witherspoon, Zooey Deschanel, Alyson Hannigan… the list goes on.
If you were working on the Ghostbusters III sequel, which funny ladies would be on the top of your list?
