The Application Form For The Bachelorette Is BRUTAL

It's not all standing around in ballgowns sipping on champagne, you know.

The application process for the third season of The Bachelorette has officially opened, and the online questionnaire is BRUTAL; as well as demanding physical measurements, the comprehensive - and prying - form wants to know a lot about applicants' sex lives.

And, if those looking for love refuse to answer any, they can kiss their chance at everlasting happiness goodbye, as Richie Strahan-era reject Rachael Gouvignon found out when she declined to respond to how many sexual partners she had had - male or female.

The 13-page form starts with pretty basic information - name, age, ethnic background - before spiralling into a juicy tidbit-finding mission, wanting to know when the last time potential suitors cried and why, what scares applicants and what their bad habits are.

It gets even deeper, too; a few pages in, wannabe Bachelors and Bachelorettes are asked to describe their best and worst features, reveal if they've ever broken hearts and to tell producers what their parents taught them about love.

Interestingly, one of the questions asks contestants if they would ever move cities for love - something that pretty much every Bachie couple has had to deal with.

And the competition have either learned from past mistakes or are looking for a bit more drama this year, with requests for links to every possible social media account, including Snapchat, and for applicants to 'fess up about any "skeletons in the closet", such as sex tapes and unauthorised photos.

If you still haven't been put off throwing your hat in the ring for this year's audition process, you can apply here; female contestants have to be between 25 and 35 years old, and guys between 23 and 35, and you have until May 5 to get your answers in.
