Instagram Are Testing Screenshot Notifications For Stories
If you have Snapchat you’re probably familiar with the notification that gets sent out when you screenshot someone’s snapchat they’ve sent you. It now looks like the Facebook-owned Instagram is set to test out their own version of this screenshot feature.
It appears that those who are apart of the screenshot feature test are getting a warning when they open the app…
Good bye freedom to screenshot IG stories. 💔 Thank you, Instagram for the warning. pic.twitter.com/y0pEaVR0Jq— mulan (@__cajb) February 8, 2018
However, this feature will only apply to stories and not regular posts. Reports state that users won’t get a notification when someone screenshots their story, but they’ll be able to see a camera shutter logo next to the name of someone in the list of who’s viewed the story.

It’s unsure if the feature will be available to all users, but people are already taking to Twitter to express their feelings on the new feature…

Only time will tell if the feature becomes permanent and available to all users.
