Japan Has Just Celebrated It's Annual Penis Festival
Japan has an annual penis festival, if you didn't know, now you know!
During the annual event, thousands of people take to the streets of Kawasaki to participate in Kanamara Matsuri – the Festival of the Steel Phallus. The festival is a major tourist attraction, with festival-goers snapping selfies with penis sculptures and buying various forms of memorabilia.
Not only is it a massive tourist draw card, there's also a serious side. The festival, which started in 1969, also raises awareness about safe sex, raising money for HIV research and celebrating fertility.
