The Cotton On Skirt That Australia Is Obsessing Over

If you, your aunt and 16-year-old cousin are wearing the same silk skirt this Christmas Day, it'll probably be this one...

Silk skirts are flying out the doors of the designer section of The Iconic, but at what cost? From $200-500, they are not cheap! There must be an alternative?

Cotton On has replicated the iconic silk skirt look for just $35!

Cotton On's $34.95 skirt is available in various colours and patterns including leopard print, polka dot, olive green and rusty orange. Let us assure you - they are almost identical to the branded silk skirt that'll set you back hundreds of dollars.

"Move and groove in the Woven Belle Bias Midi skirt," the Cotton On website reads. "A sleek, flowy design, pair this midi with your fave crop and a pair of sneakers for a look that goes wherever you do."

Not only are they super flattering, but its high rise waistline adds an additional level of comfort.

"Nabbed the last one at the Chatswood store and I can see why it's been a bestseller. The satin material is thicker than what you'd usually get for this price point and doesn't cling with static," wrote budget blogger, Tina Abeysekara.

However, the super popular skirt is flying off the shelves in Cotton On stores and online ahead of the Christmas rush.

Whether you're heading off to a casual brunch with friends or a work meeting, the skirt's versatility is one of its strongest assets, with one Instagram user saying they will "recycle for work with a black top and black or tan heels."
