This Man's Beard Earned A Visit From The Police
Kids ask for the darndest things...
Torkel Kristoffers, 39, from Stockholm had coincidentally decided to grow a beard while he took a break from work to care for his son.
When two-year-old Axel asked his Dad to carry him to his friends house in a shopping bag, he was happy to oblige... But little did he know he would soon be visited by the police.
When neighbours spotted the pair, they didn't recognise the strange bearded man - so they reported a child kidnapping to the police.
Mr Kristoffers clean shaven look:
And the bearded version:
Mr Kristoffers was left shocked as police burst into his property, but no further action was taken after the confusion became clear.
Posting a photo of his beard on Facebook, Torkel joked: ‘When two police cars run into my coffee time, we know that it’s time to shave the beard.’
Police spokesperson Eva Nilsson confirmed the misunderstanding, adding: ‘It is currently not a crime to carry a child around in a bag.’
