Why You Should NEVER Drink The Coffee They Serve On Planes
If you use coffee to stay awake and combat jet-lag during a flight, this will make you think twice.
A former American Airlines flight attendant is urging us all to avoid drinking the coffee they serve on airplanes.
Why? She's claiming that the water used in coffee is the same that's used in plane toilets.
"It’s the same potable [safe to drink] water that goes through the bathroom system," she said.
Obviously she's referring to the water BEFORE it's been used in the bathroom, so don't panic - you're not sipping a cup of someone's faeces or urine.
So you'd think the water would be safe, right? Apparently not.
"We recently had a test for E. coli in our water and it didn’t pass, and then maintenance came on and hit a couple buttons and it passed." the flight attendant said.
"So, avoid any hot water or tea. Bottled and ice is fine, of course."
