Iggy Azalea Is NOT Happy With This Celeb
Macklemore (and Ryan Lewis) released the song “White Privilege II” which name checks artists as adopting black culture for success and financial gain.
Alongside Miley Cyrus, one of the other artists he references is Iggy Azalea. Iggy isn’t very happy about the whole thing and now Macklemore has said he regrets not giving Iggy a warning about the inclusion of her name in the single, saying “there’s enough of a relationship that I should have let her know beforehand. And I didn’t do that.”
"White Privilege II," the follow-up to a 2005 track, contains the verse, "You've exploited and stolen the music, the moment / The magic, the passion, the fashion, you toy with / The culture was never yours to make better / You're Miley, you're Elvis, you're Iggy Azalea."
In January, she tweeted her opinion about the verse, saying he "shouldn't have spent the last 3 yrs having friendly convos and taking pictures together at events etc if those were his feelings."
Ouch, Macklemore, OUCH!
