Alcoholic Coca-Cola Will Soon Be A Thing
We're all quite partial to an icy cold Coca-Cola on a hot damn day.
Now it looks like you'll be able to unwind with your fav soft drink at a pub or club without being mistaken for the deso-driver.
Coca-Cola looks set to release its first ever range of alcoholic drinks.
Based on a Japanese alcopop, Coca-Cola is creating its own spin on the popular Japanese drink Chu-Hi which contains a small amount of shochu alcohol.
The drink will be trialled in Japan where the demand is said to be high.
“This is a canned drink that includes alcohol; traditionally, it is made with a distilled beverage called shochu and sparkling water, plus some flavouring,” Coca-Cola’s Japanese president, Jorge Garduno, said.
At this point the bevvy will only be available in Japan, so you might not be cracking open a cold one with the boys any time soon.
