Guy Petitioning For New KFC Store Is What Australia Is About

KFC have been popping up in the news a fair bit recently. It was recently discovered that they follow 11 herbs and spices on Twitter, have brought back a fan favourite menu item, released a chicken scented bath bomb, and released KFC Christmas decorations!

Now, since KFC is proving so popular, a southeast Brisbane man has passionately defended a proposal for a service station and KFC “just two minutes” from his home.

The man’s submission was handwritten on a form that is clearly meant to encourage residents to object to council plans. However, he made three clear points on why the development should go ahead.

“I love KFC. This store will be 2 minutes from my house!! Please ignore the people objecting to this development!!” he wrote. His second and third points continued with, “The queue at the Wynnum store is too long. The Carbondale store always get the orders wrong. They are hopeless. I have complained to KFC about this store (you get KFC vouchers if you complain, FYI)”.

Councillor Ryan Murphy found the man’s objection and posted it to his Facebook saying, “Most submitters opposed, but then this guy.”

Developer Paul Novak confirmed that KFC would be the fast food outlet and Caltex would be the service station for his proposed development. Mr Novak said that the development would create competition for lower petrol prices as well as give Tingalpa residents access to finger-licking good fast food.

Residents are being encouraged to make their submissions either for or against the development by December 6. Hopefully this man gets his dream of being within 2 minutes from a KFC!
