One Aussie Dies From This Every SIX Hours
DID YOU KNOW THAT ONE AUSSIE WILL DIE FROM MELANOMA EVERY SIX HOURS?
This staggering statistic is made even more horrifying by the fact that 90% of melanomas can be successfully treated if detected early.
To raise awareness, Melanoma Institute Australia (MIA) is kicking off the Melanoma March THIS Sunday in Western Sydney. MIA are encouraging local residents to join the march and help find a cure. The march will support vital melanoma research and also give Aussies a chance to remember those they have lost to the disease.
Debbie Henry, a melanoma survivor herself, has tragically lost her brother and her husband to the disease and will be marching for them this weekend, “It’s important everyone in the community steps up to support this lifesaving research, which continues to improve the lives of melanoma sufferers everywhere.”
The march will take place at Parramatta Park, Pavilion Flat from 8am this Sunday 26th March. A second march will be held the following Sunday April 2nd at Nawi Square in Barangaroo Reserve from 8:30am. See you there!
