American Burger Chain Claims Sydney Store Is A Copycat
A legal fight is emerging between American burger chain In-N-Out and a Sydney rival, with claims it's mimicking its offerings and misleading consumers.
The California-based company has launched legal proceedings against Hashtag Burgers here in Oz, because their two stores in the CBD and Top Ryde have the name "Down N' Out".
In-N-Out claims the Sydney store has infringed its trademark, and wants the court to order Down N' Out to change its name.
Hashtag Burgers denies the allegations.
Both parties will return to court on August 10.
