Baby Thrown From Window In House Fire In Sydney's West
A baby has been thrown from a second-story window after a fire ripped through a unit in Sydney's west this morning.
Emergency services were called to the residence in Bruce Street, Blacktown, at about 7.35am on Tuesday to find an apartment "well-alight"; while Fire and Rescue NSW have since extinguished the blaze, the unit is said to be "completely gutted".
Of the eight people treated at the scene for smoke inhalation, four were taken to Blacktown Hospital for further treatment.
The baby, thankfully, is unharmed.
Investigators believe, after initial inquiries, that the fire is not suspicious.
