Brace Yourself Sydney, There's A Thunderstorm Coming
Well, the dry spell was nice while it lasted.
Sydney is due for a drenching this afternoon after the driest September on record, with experts predicting a thunderstorm before the evening is out.
Rob Taggert, duty forecaster at the Bureau of Meteorology, told news.com.au that we could expect winds reaching 30 to 45 km/ h as well.
"There's a cold front moving through NSW and there's a lot of thunderstorm activity ahead of that front," he said.
"The western suburbs are more likely to be hit as it's coming from the Blue Mountains."
The rain is set to continue later this week, too, with predictions of showers from Wednesday through to Sunday.
Better dig out that umbrella then, hey?
