Western Sydney Woman Found Dead On The Floor By Her Son
A man has been charged with the murder of his wife after one of the couple's sons arrived home to find his mother lying in a pool of blood on the floor of their western Sydney home.
Police and paramedics responded to a "frantic" triple-0 call at about 4pm on Tuesday, sealing off the scene in Glenwood Park Drive, Glenwood Park.
Soon after, it was confirmed that they had been unable to revive the 56-year-old woman, and after speaking with the son, the alleged victim's husband was located in a car outside some Kings Langley shops and was arrested.
Detective Acting Superintendent Wayne Humphrey said: "Police spoke with a family member, and as a result, a search began for a 57-year-old male, who police will allege is the husband of the deceased lady.
"He was arrested without incident at that location."
The man was charged with murder late last night, and is expected to face court.
According to a neighbour, the family had lived at their Glenwood address since 2007, and had two university-aged sons.
