*GRAPHIC CONTENT WARNING - ANIMAL CRUELTY*

A disturbing sight spotted in Sydney's South sees the body of a deer hanging in broad daylight.

The body was hanging from Alfords Point Bridge, from Menai to Bankstown.

A couple who were in their boat just after midday on Tuesday 13th November were horrified when they saw the body hanging by the neck from the bridge above Georges River.

"We were in our boat at 1pm passing under the bridge and we looked up and just saw the body of a deer hanging there,”

“[The deer] was hanging from the bridge as you head from Menai to Bankstown."

"We knew straight away what it was. We could tell from its shape it was a deer. It was just horrific. We were just glad it wasn’t alive."

"What type of person would do that to an animal? I just hope the deer wasn’t alive when it was hung over the side of the bridge.”

Reports say that the RMS came out to the bridge and cut the body down, shortly after.
