Elderly Pedestrian Critical After Crash In Greenacre
An elderly pedestrian has been left in a critical condition following a crash in Sydney’s south west.
NSW Police have said that the 81-year-old man had walked out onto the road in Greenacre at about 8:30pm on Wednesday night when he was struck by a car.
A Toyota Rav 4 collided with the man as it was travelling south on Waterloo Road, approaching the intersection with Greenacre Road.
The pedestrian suffered serious injuries and was taken to Liverpool Hospital where he is believed to be in a critical condition.
The 17-year-old male driver of the vehicle was uninjured but was taken to Bankstown Hospital for mandatory blood and urine testing.
