Family Visit Macedon As Police Visit Karen Ristevski's Home

Police representatives have visited the family residence of Karen Ristevski, just days after the discovery of a body near Macedon, north of Melbourne.

Two detectives entered the house just before 5pm (AEDT) where Karen's husband and 21-year-old daughter live.

After attending the property for approximately an hour, the two detectives would not comment to the media about the reason for the visit.

The decomposing body that was discovered in bushland nearby Mount Macedon is currently undergoing forensic testing to verify the identity of the deceased.

While the body has not been formally identified as the missing Karen Ristevski, The Herald Sun have reported that her brother has since visited the site where the body was found.

The woman's body was discovered by a bushwalker under a large log in the area around lunchtime on Monday.

Further searches of the area have also provided police with what could be more evidence related to the discovery.

Karen Ristevski was last seen by her husband, Borce, on June 29th last year at their Avondale Heights home.

There have also been media reports that Ms Ristevski's phone had pinged on towers as close as 15 minutes away from the location her body was found on the day she went missing.

Previous to the Mount Macedon discovery, search efforts were centred around Toolern Vale, which is a further 25km from where the body was found this week.
