Fears For Lives Of Hostages As Police Operation Continues
Since around 10:45 this morning, there has been a hostage situation in Sydney’s south west suburb of Ingleburn.
Reports state that one man has been shot dead and at least two others have suffered gunshot wounds at the industrial site.
The update is that police negotiators have now entered the scene and several police helicopters are monitoring the site from above.
At this point it is unclear as to what the gunman wants.
He is thought to be armed with an automatic rifle.
Witnesses from the area believe they have heard a total of five shots fired since 10:45am.
Police have surrounded a factory at Ingleburn in Sydney's south west where one person has been shot dead and two others have been injured.
