Former Bachelor Contestant Found Dead From Apparent Suicide

If there’s one thing that saddens us beyond belief, it’s hearing that someone has passed.

If you’re a fan of the US series of The Bachelor, you may remember Lex McAllister, who took part in Jake Pavelka’s season and was eliminated in the first week.

Heartbreakingly, news has been received that McAllister has died after what authorities - and her family - believe to be a suicide.

According to reports, she overdosed prescription pills on Saturday and was taken to Columbus, Ohio, hospital in a stable condition.

Her family are then said to have withdrawn life support after her condition worsened.

Tragically, she passed away on Tuesday morning.

She is said to have struggled with depression and bipolar disorder, a family member tells the site.

Recently, she posted a photo looking forward to her best friend's wedding with the hashtags, #dateset and #happilyeverafter.

Her death comes nearly three years after Gia Allemand, a finalist on the same season, attempted suicide at her home in New Orleans.

She was removed from life support two days later.
