Dog Killed By Sydney Teenager With A Shovel
A German Shepherd has died and two other dogs have been injured after they were allegedly hit with a shovel by a Sydney teenager.
A 19-year-old Sydney man has since been charged and is due to appear in court after the terrifying attack occurred at a home in Cecil Hills in Sydney’s west yesterday.
“When other residents of the home arrived, an argument ensued when it was discovered the dogs were injured,” NSW Police said.
It’s believed that the teenager then turned on his 39-year-old mother, threatening to attack her with the shovel.
All three dogs were taken to the vet where two fox terriers were treated for their injuries, however, the German Shepherd couldn’t be saved.
The 19-year-old was taken to Liverpool Police Station where he was charged with three counts of torture, beat and cause death of animal, as well as common assault.
He was refused bail and is due to appear at Liverpool Local Court later today.
