Heavily Armed Police Arrest Teen After Sydney Gun Robbery
A teenager has been arrested by heavily armed police after allegedly robbing a Sydney service station at gunpoint.
The 19-year-old was reportedly captured on CCTV at 9:20am on Monday walking into a Campbelltown petrol station.
Police alleged that the man, dressed in high-vis workwear and armed with a rifle, threatened a female staff member before fleeing with a bunch of cash.
The man was pursued by local police, the Public Order Riot Squad and PolAir before being apprehended at the rear of a nearby home.
The teenager was arrested and charged with armed robbery. He was refused bail and is expected to appear before Campbelltown Local Court on June 27.
The rifle used to threaten a staff member in the attack is being forensically examined.
