Man Charged Over Alleged Sexual Assault Of Boy, 13
A man is set to appear in court after being charged with the alleged sexual assault of a young teenage boy in Sydney’s northern beaches this week.
Police allege that a 34-year-old man attended the home of a 13-year-old boy in Killarney Heights on Wednesday, after the pair met via social media on Tuesday.
It’s believed that the man entered the home before sexually assaulting the boy.
After the man left the area, police in the Northern Beaches Police Area Command were contacted about the incident.
Detectives attended the scene and the 13-year-old boy was taken to Randwick Children’s Hospital for examination.
Inquiries commenced and at about 5:45pm yesterday a 34-year-old man was arrested at Campsie Police Station.
He has since been charged with aggravated sexual assault victim under the age of 16 years, and use carriage service to procure under 16 years for sexual activity.
The man has been refused bail and will appear before Burwood Local Court today.
