Man Charged With Murder After Father Found Burnt On NSW Road
A man is due to face court after being charged with the murder of a young father who was found by the side of a road in the New South Wales Hunter region suffering from extensive burns.
The man was found by a taxi driver in there early hours of the morning on Monday beside Oakdale Road at Lake Macquarie.
Emergency services rushed to the scene to treat the 23-year-old father of two but as he was being flown to Royal North Shore Hospital he died from his injuries.
A 35-year-old man handed himself in to police yesterday morning and he was later arrested. This man has been refused bail and is due to appear in Newcastle Local Court later today.
Police believe that the two men were known to each other.
