Man TASERED By Police After Serious Assault In Sydney's West
Two people have been hospitalised after they were attacked while sitting in their car in Sydney's west yesterday evening.
According to reports, a man approached the vehicle on George Street in Parramatta on Wednesday and began bashing it with a tyre lever, before assaulting the male and female occupant with the same weapon.
When police officers attended the scene just after 6.45pm, they allege that the attacker turned on them, at which point he was tasered.
The 30-year-old was arrested and taken to Parramatta police station, where he was charged with two counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, destroying or damaging property, being armed with intent to commit an indictable offence and driving whilst suspended.
He will appear in court later today.
The victims, both 26 years old, were taken to hospital in a stable condition.
It's believed that the three parties are known each other.
