Man's Throat Cut In Western Sydney Angle Grinder Accident
A 70-year-old man is in a serious condition after his wind pipe was cut in an angle grinder accident in western Sydney.
Paramedics said the man received deep cuts to his throat after an angle grinder blade disintegrated while he was fixing a fence at St Marys on Thursday morning.
CareFlight's specialist doctor and paramedic treated him at the scene before he was placed in an induced coma and intubated to manage his breathing.
The man has been rushed to Westmead Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
