A shooting in Austin, Texas has left multiple victims dead and the gunman is still on the loose.

Austin police said on Twitter ‘’Active shooter incident downtown, multiple victims. Stay away from downtown.’’

Police added there were “separate shootings in the same area’’ but did not say how many gunman they believe there is.

It is not clear how many people have been shot.

KXAN, a local station has said there are victims ‘’speed across the area’’.
