Marvel Comics’ Stan Lee Dies Age 95
The man behind Marvel Comics, Stan Lee, has reportedly died at the age of 95 according to TMZ.
The cause of death is currently unknown, however, TMZ are reporting that “an ambulance rushed to Lee’s Hollywood Hills home early Monday morning and he was rushed to Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre”.
The publication claims that the writer passed away shortly after arriving at the hospital, and this has reportedly been confirmed with his daughter, J.C.
“My father loved all of his fans. He was the greatest, most decent,”she said in a statement.
Stan Lee is to thank for making Marvel Comics go mainstream in the 1960s after he created iconic characters such as Spider-Man, the X-Men, Thor, Iron Man, Black Panther, the Fantastic Four and countless others.
Lee has reportedly suffered from a few health issues in recent years and was hospitalised earlier this year. His wife Joan passed away last year at the age of 69.
He is survived by his brother Larry Leiber and his daughter J.C.
