MORE Sydney Train Cancellations This Morning

after track work and staff shortages caused commuter chaos in Sydney over the last 2 days, it begs the question, when will it all be over?

Sydney Trains claim that all problems have been resolved and that all services will resume as normal this morning.

This will come as some reassurance to the thousands of passengers who had a very late night home due to yesterday's delays, with some claiming that their usual half jour journey took as long as 3 hours.

However, there have already been a number of cancellations this morning, including trains from Epping, Hornsby and Schofields.

The new timetable continues to put added pressure on the system, which the Rail Union claims is the reason for all the chaos, NOT a lack of staff. They've stated that the usual number of drivers to call in sick on an average day is 40, and yesterday there were only 50.

More as we get it.
