Search warrants were executed on homes in Erskine Park and St Clair at about 8am on Wednesday October 11, where $3.6 million in cash and a pistol with a silencer were found.

A 31-year-old man was arrested at about midday yesterday as a result of the ongoing investigations.

He was taken to Surry Hills Police Station and charged with a number of offences including knowingly dealing with proceeds of crime with intent to conceal and possession of an unauthorised pistol.

The man was refused bail and is due to appear in court later today.
