One Dead After Garbage Truck Crash In Sydney's West
A horror collision with a garbage truck has left a motorcyclist dead in Sydney's west this morning.
The smash happened just before 4am on Monday when a Blacktown City Council truck was performing a three-point turn at the intersection of Palmyra Avenue and Forrester Road in Ropes Crossing.
The motorcyclist, understood to be male, died at the scene, while the truck driver was taken to Nepean Hospital to be treated for shock and for mandatory testing.

A witness told The Daily Telegraph that the truck's usual route involves turning in one of the driveways in Palmyra Avenue, before doubling back and collecting bins on the other side of the road.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area; the road is currently closed in both directions.
