It has been confirmed by the Queensland Police that all four people involved in the Dreamworld incident are deceased.

Reports suggest the four victims are from the same family and are three males and a female.

The incident occurred on the River Rapid Ride when one carriage allegedly flipped over trapping the victims underneath.

The QPS Media have confirmed the terrible tragedy after responding to calls initially at 2:20pm (AEST) today.

"Police are currently investigating an incident that occurred this afternoon at a theme park on the Gold Coast," the QPS Media statement read.

"Police were called to the site at Coomera around 2.20pm following reports that a number of people had been injured by a conveyor belt.

"Four adults have been confirmed as being deceased.

"Police and other emergency services remain on the scene and no further information can be released at this stage."

Emergency services have requested any witnesses come forward so that the exact unfolding of events can be determined.

Dreamworld also released a statement reiterating their cooperation with the police and other emergency personal, as well as sending out their condolences to the family of the deceased.
