Police Taser Knife Wielding Woman In Sydney's Inner West
Shocking footage from an eyewitness shows Police repeatedly warning a woman to drop a knife before being forced to taser her in front of stunned diners in Sydney’s inner west yesterday.
Police were called to Victoria Street in Burwood where a 42-year-old woman was seen brandishing a knife just before 1.30pm.
The witness who filmed the incident told News Ltd:
“While one police officer had her attention telling her repeatedly to drop her weapon another two officers came in from her blind spot with tasers out,”
“After about the fifth time telling her to drop the weapon with her still not complying he signalled the other two to act and they quickly did.”
The woman, was not seriously injured in the incident outside a packed cafe, was taken to Concord Hospital for a mental health assessment.
