Sydney Trains To Cancel Thirty-Six Peak Hour Services Today
Those heading back to work today may want to allow for extra travel time as it has been revealed that public transport users are up for another chaotic week on Sydney trains.
It has been revealed this morning that Sydney Trains have cancelled 36 of their peak hour services across the city due to a lack of drivers and platform staff members.
The cancelled services are on the T2 Inner West and Leppington lines, T3 Bankstown line, T5 Cumberland line and T8 Airport line.
The T7 Olympic Park services will be cut in half however, there will be buses available in place of these trains.
The cancellations have been made to allow for extra staff to help out at the reopening of the new Hornsby interchange after two weeks of upgrades and to overcome the current rostering issues.
These changes come just one week after commuters were left stranded or in extensive cues due to timetable changes and around 70 drivers calling in sick.
