Serious Concerns Over Missing Parramatta Girls

Police are appealing for information to help find two girls who have been missing from Sydney's west for more than a week.

Britney and Shaneque Hunter, 14 and 11, left the motel they were staying at in Parramatta, where they were in the care of Family and Community Services workers, last Monday January 16.

When they failed to return, police were notified and a search commenced.

The two girls, who are described as being of Aboriginal/ Torres Strait Islander appearance with brown hair, brown eyes and of slim build, were last seen at shopping centre on Church Street, Parramatta, sometime last week.

There are concerns for the girls' welfare.

It's believed Britney and Shaneque may be in the Mt Druitt area; Britney was last seen wearing a pink and white t-shirt, and Shaneque was wearing a pink shirt.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
