Sex Offender Charged For Breaching Bail Conditions
A man has been charged by officers after allegedly being caught breaching his bail conditions arising from indecent assault charges.
Yesterday afternoon (Wednesday 31 January 2018), officers were conducting patrols of St Marys Railway Station when they identified a man walking through the ticket barriers with a nine-year-old child.
Police stopped the man and identified that he was on bail for 16 indecent assault charges.
Police will allege in court that he was in breach of the conditions by being with the child.
The man was arrested and taken to Penrith Police Station where he was charged with one count of detention application – arrest.
He was refused bail to appear at Penrith Local Court today (Thursday 1 February 2018).
