Shooting At Sydney Police Station Following Knife Threat

The man who was shot has apparently passed away.

Reports are emerging about a shooting that occurred at Quakers Hill police station in Sydney after a man entered the premises bearing a knife.

Police allegedly had no choice but to shoot the man, as he threatened them with the knife.

Paramedics were called to the station in Sydney’s north-west at around 10:30am this morning, after the man was shot in the shoulder and seriously injured.

A witness recalls bystanders performing CPR on him before paramedics arrived.

A spokesperson for the NSW Police confirmed a police operation was indeed underway, but said no further details were available at this time.

A CareFlight helicopter landed at the scene just after 11am.

Police have closed Lalor Road and motorists are currently being turned around near the police station.
