SYDNEY BEWARE: This Suburb's Magpie Season Has Started
Nah, Nah, Nah.
Magpie season is here already. Reports have been trickling in across Australia of Magpies getting more and more aggressive in the last couple of weeks.
In Sydney a woman named Emily was apparently pecked twice on the head by one of the birds as she was walking along Fitzgerald Ave in Randwick with her 15-month-son, according to news.com.au.
A few hours away in Canberra, locals are being urged by ACT government senior ranger Nadia Rhodes to wear a hat or helmet if they need to walk close to an aggressive magpie. She told the Canberra Times that she had already received a number of calls from people wanting advice.
It’s the same story cross much of the country, with the Magpie Alert website already tracking the locations of the attacks.
