Sydney Man Steals Truck And Crashes Into Cafe
Tradesmen have held down a drunk man who stole a truck and crashed it into a cafe in Sydney on Wednesday morning.
The man allegedly stole a three-tonne truck from a construction site near Martin Place, where the Light Rail is being built, and drove it through a work site on George Street at 2 AM before hitting a cafe.
Place say the 33-year-old man crashed into the front windows Regiment CBD before trying to drive away but construction workers stopped him.
Officers arrested the Queenscliff man and breath-tested him. He returned a positive reading and was taken to Sydney Hospital for blood tests.
