Teen Boy Found On NSW Road Killed On 15th Birthday

More information has been released about the teenage boy who was found dead on a country NSW road by a passing motorist yesterday as his family looks for answers surrounding his death.

The identity of the boy, who was discovered on a road near Wagga Wagga in the early hours of Wednesday morning, has been revealed as Braydon Worldon.

Braydon’s family have revealed that they had just celebrated his 15th birthday on Tuesday before his body was discovered at 1:30am the next day on River Road, Wantabadgery.

It’s believed that the boy’s grandmother lives nearby but his devastated family are still trying to work out why he would have been on the road in the middle of the night.

“Everyone loved him, he was just a good kid,” his uncle Damien told the Seven Network on Wednesday.

“I want to know the truth,” added his mother Crystal in a post to Facebook. “I lost my lil’man to some coward who didn’t even bother to stop and help in any way.”

Detective Chief Inspector Andrew Spliet said that investigations are still early and that there are several lines of inquiry.

“We’re still trying to understand that circumstances,” he told AAP.

He continued to say that Braydon’s whereabouts between 7pm on Tuesday and 1am Wednesday were of a particular interest to investigators.

Local police and crash investigators are currently working on the case.

Anyone with any information is being urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
