The Highest Paid Tradies In Australia Have Been Revealed
The highest paid trades in Australia have been revealed and let's just say that we may be considering a career change.
According to a survey by serviceseeking.com.au, plumbers in particular are pocketing some serious change, with Victoria topping the list at $91 an hour.
NSW plumbers aren't too far behind, though, with a 16 per cent increase over the last 12 months resulting in an $86-an-hour rate.
Builders and sparkies in South Australia have also a sharp rise in their wage - up 29 per cent and 26 per cent respectively - while plasterers in Perth are taking home a tidy $59.29 an hour.
The rates laid out in the report, which sampled more than 50,000 quotes, did not include labour but did take into account costs like insurance, tools, work vehicles and superannuation.

$85.98 per hour - plumbers in New South Wales, up 16 per cent
$77.76 per hour - builders in South Australia, up 29 per cent
$79.13 per hour - electricians in South Australia, up 26 per cent
$59.29 per hour - plasterers in Perth, up 20 per cent
$47.68 per hour - painters in Adelaide, up 18 per cent
$62.16 per hour - tilers in Brisbane, up by 65 per cent
