Two 21-Year-Old Girls Disappeared From Same Area As Cassie
Just a few days ago, the news that Cassie Olczak was missing rocked Australia.
Last seen boarding a train at Banksia after meeting her friends during the day, 16-year-old Cassie has been missing since Sunday evening.
Her mother, Connie, has been appealing to the public to come forward with any information that could help her find her little girl.
They believe she may have been groggy and disorientated when she disappeared. Ms Olczak told the Kyle & Jackie O show that Cassie was jetlagged and it's possible she did take something, but she is urging those friends to give more relevant information to police.
Now, two friends of Cassie have gone missing. Friends Nikki Groves and Kate Bateup were reported missing on Wednesday after they took a walking track heading east from Waterfall Station into the Royal National Park, The Daily Telegraph reports.
The police search which involved the Rural Fire Service and a lifesaver helicopter was suspended at 7pm when it was too dark to continue.
This is the same area Cassie disappeared from.
'I need her home, my gut tells me she is alive. If she hears this, your friends and family are desperate for you to come home. Please come home, ’her mother pleaded.
Cassie, who has just finished school and is due to begin a Tafe hairdressing course next week, had returned to Australia on Saturday from visiting her father in Abu Dhabi.
She went to visit friends on Sunday but they sent her home when they noticed she was disorientated. The teenager went to the train station with a friend at about 6pm but the person took a train in the opposite direction to Cassie.
Her mother is allegedly concerned someone may have given her a ‘substance’, which would explain her groggy and disorientated state.
'You're not in trouble. If you're confused or lost, people want to help you. I'm trying, I just don't understand,' she told the Sydney Morning Herald.
She was supposed to be travelling to Hurstville but CCTV captured her getting off at Waterfall - about 15 kilometres away.
