Details Emerge After Children's Bodies Found In Perth Home

Two small children have been found dead at a property north of Perth.

The boy, aged three, and five-year-old girl were found in their Yanchep home just after Major Crime Detectives and forensic officers were called to the Flight Vista property just after 9pm on Thursday.

Their father, in his 30s, was rushed to Joondalup Hospital before being transferred to Royal Perth Hospital. He is under police guard with critical injuries.

His injuries may have been self-inflicted knife wounds.

Police said a family liaison officer is supporting the children's mother who is "obviously very distressed."

Seven News reporter Rebecca Picton-King earlier told 6PR that the neighbours said “the kids were good kids, sweet kids”.
