Two People Dead In Horror Crash On Princes Highway
Sydney traffic is at a standstill this morning after a horror crash on the Princes Highway in Sydney.
At around 4:30am this morning, emergency services responded to the corner of Canal Rd and Princes Hwy, St Peters, after reports of a two car collision.
According to the Daily Telegraph, police arrived to find a grey ute had crunched into the side of a blue Hyundai sedan. The ute was stolen and had been in a pursuit with police prior to the fatal collision.
Tragically, one person died at the scene while another has been taken to hospital in a critical condition but died shortly after.
Another man in his 30s, understood to be the driver of the stolen ute, suffered a leg injury and has been taken into custody by police.
A large police presence is currently on the scene including the dogs squad.
The Princes Highway is blocked northbound while two southbound lanes are also blocked.
The road is expected to be closed for some time.
