Western Sydney McDonald's Held Up In Attempted Armed Robbery
Police are investigating after two men attempted to hold up a McDonald's in Sydney's west overnight, threatening staff with what appeared to be guns.
The would-be thieves walked up the drive-through of the fast-food restaurant on Lyn Parade in Prestons just before 2am on Wednesday, with their hands and faces covered, and demanded one of the female workers open a window.
At the same time a manager noticed what was happening and had the staff lock themselves in an office and call the police.
The two men fled the scene, and investigating officers were unable to locate them while patrolling the area.
Police would like to speak to two people who may be able to assist with inquiries; one man was seen wearing grey tracksuit pants and a black hoodie and the second a black and white hoodie and black pants.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
