Woman Blows Six Times Legal Alcohol Limit With 2 Kids In Car
A woman has been caught driving with two young children in the car while six times over the legal alcohol limit in Western Sydney.
Police were called to O’Connell Street in Kingwood yesterday morning after reports that a Volkswagen Golf was driving dangerously.
The 31-year-old woman was pulled over and and allegedly struck an officer in the arm after being asked to perform a breath test.
She was taken to Penrith Police Station where she returned a reading of 0.308, which is just over six times the legal limit.
The woman’s license was immediately suspended and she was charged with high-range PCA (Prescribed Concentration of Alcohol) and assault police officer in execution of their duty. She was granted conditional bail and will appear in Penrith Local Court on May 22.
The two children in the car at the time or the incident, aged four and six, were picked up by a family member.
